Plans for 2021-22
Arrival & Dismissal
Drop-off will be between 8:05 - 8:20 a.m. (8:20 a.m. classes begin)
Monday - Thursday:
3:00 p.m. - EC - Grade 4
4:00 p.m. - Grades 5 - 8
3:00 p.m. - EC - Grade 8
Our goal is to have all students (excluding EC who will have food brought to their classrooms) walk through the servery and be served lunch on a tray or plastic container, regardless of whether they are eating in a classroom or the Commons. Kids will not be able to self-serve. We are exploring the seating accommodations currently.
Trips & Gatherings
We are hopeful we can return to hosting in-person gatherings that are aligned with the CDC guidelines available in the fall. Trips and off-campus excursions are actively being planned for the fall.
After School Programming
Care is available until 5:00 p.m. every day.
We will not have Enrichment classes in the fall as the mixing of all EC - Grade 8 students presents too many health challenges..
Parent & Visitor Policy
Parents and visitors will likely be allowed to come inside the building, though we are still working on the specific protocols based on state guidelines.
Since students will frequently be outside, and to reduce the need for students to change in the locker rooms before PE, the Dress Code is a combination of our typical dress with an option for athletic dress. Students should dress appropriately for the weather in clothing that is neat, clean, and in good repair
COVID Mitigation Protocols
Mandatory indoors; outdoors socially distanced masks can be off
We are moving away from cohorts and are exploring ways students can interact outdoors with students in other grades (Buddies, Clubs, Heron House).
We will not use MyMedBot next school year; but will have an alternative reminder for parents to check symptoms from home. Pool testing is no longer required.
7th and 8th grade sports will return in the fall and they will be able to play against other schools - following athletic conference guidelines
