Changemaking Lab Note- Feb. 10

In the Classroom:

Our 6th and 7th graders began their new Changemaking rotation by asking the question: Is Brookwood a “green” school? We conducted some initial “presearch” to learn about different sustainable practices at schools around the world then turned our attention to Brookwood’s efforts. We highlighted the work our community is doing to promote a healthy environment and identified some opportunities for improvement and growth. Our rotation will be centered around finding actionable ways to further Brookwood’s sustainability work. More to come!

From the 3D Printing Lab:

After a week that included a few catastrophic failures that resulted in broken components, we are back up and running with a few hardware and software upgrades! Our 5th grade projects are still being manufactured, our 8th grade Changemaker Leadership Group is busy designing and printing props and pieces for the play, and I found a little time to print out a blast from my past, a fully articulated figurine of Raphael from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Because if you can’t have fun in the Changemaking Lab, you’re doing something wrong :)
