End of Year Events for Upper Schoolers

Beach Day || June 9, 2023

Upper School students will go to one of our local beaches as a class before their last day of school.

Details about Graduation Week:

Steep Days || Monday, June 12 - 14

• During the week of May 22, Upper School students will choose a 3-day experience led by our faculty where students will “steep” themselves in something outside the Brookwood curriculum.

• Students will meet with their groups before the Steep Days begin.

• Students will be in Steep Days with students in other grades.

• We have great options that include sailing, farming, building, acting, designing, and more.

The Salute to the Class of 2023 || Thursday, June 15, 2023

The Salute will be at 1:30 p.m. on the last school day for all Brookwood students. The Salute is a treasured celebration of the eighth grade that includes the annual eighth grade slideshow and tributes from each grade level as they bid farewell to the Class of 2023.

The 60th Commencement Exercises || Friday June 16, 2023

Graduation is June 16 on Brookwood’s courtyard at 10:30 a.m.! 7th Graders will attend graduation, and 5th and 6th grade students are welcome to attend.

6th Grade Sleepout || June 1, 2023

The 6th Grade sleepover, a staple tradition, is less than a month away.

On Thursday, June 1st, 6th graders will stay after dismissal for an evening of games, a cookout and the highly anticipated hide and go seek game that takes place in the school at night! Afterwards, 6th graders will set up their sleeping bags in the US classrooms and in the morning enjoy a class breakfast. On Friday June 2nd, we have activities lined up and there is a regular 3pm dismissal.
