Two years ago our incredible Fifth Graders rallied the school and collected over 2000 lbs of food that they analyzed for nutritional and caloric content as part of their curriculum and then donated to Beverly Bootstraps in early March of that year. Food pantries typically receive an enormous amount of food in the run up to Thanksgiving and the holidays. While these donations tend to drop off after January first, the need remains as great as ever. Hunger and food insecurity don’t simply fade away because it's the start of a new year.
This is why our current Fifth and Seventh Graders want to remind us all that Hunger is an issue 24 hours a day / 7 days a week. To help alleviate hunger and food insecurity in our communities, they are announcing their new food drive initiative in partnership with Beverly Bootstraps and the PA. The need is greater than ever, and their goal is too!!! Please help if you can.
