June is Pride Month. At Brookwood, pride is more than just a month of celebrations and recognition of the LGBTQ+ community. It’s collaboration and support across all marginalized communities. It’s for creating an inclusive future for our children. This pride season and every day, we continue our mission to create a safe school and a sense of belonging for all our families. Particularly, we celebrate the identities and contributions of our LGBTQ+ students, parents, and employees.
I am excited to share that Brookwood has registered to participate in the North Shore Pride Parade as a visible show of support and allyship for our LGBTQ+ community. Faculty, parents, and children are welcome to join and march with our group on Saturday, June 24, in Salem.
If you are unable to attend North Shore Pride, but would still like to be involved, families are also invited to come help make inclusive signs for the parade on Tuesday, June 13, from 3:30 - 5:00 p.m.
