Meta Minute Feb. 24: Goji Berry Smoothies

Lower school students experienced the look, feel and taste of the Goji berry –an orange-red berry that is native to eastern Asia and believed to promote a long and healthy life! No one had seen or heard of it before, but hands-down, everyone enjoyed munching on the dried berries as we added goji berry powder to a new smoothie concoction called, the Goji Love Smoothie! Like most berries, goji berries are an incredible fruit to snack on or add to smoothies. They have a low sugar content; are rich in an antioxidant called zeaxanthin which benefits our vision; and are loaded with vitamin A, C, fiber and iron. Consider it a SUPER BERRY!
