The warm energy in the Yoga Loft Wednesday was palpable as an inter -generational practice for adult caregivers and 3rd/4th grade students took place.
Combining generational age groups in yoga helps our children develop empathy, and their language and communication skills, as was witnessed when I overheard a 4th grader speaking encouragingly to her grandfather. Although yoga is a quiet, introspective practice, in this setting, it provided an opportunity for all of us to relate to and value one another and the connection we shared.
