6th and 7th graders explored compassion, empathy, sympathy and self-compassion during their wellness block —students brainstormed and role modeled what they can do when noticing a peer suffering, how they can act with compassion, and how it feels to do so; as well as discovering acts of self-compassion they can offer to themselves when feeling down.
