Native American Heritage Month

Here at Brookwood, we would like to recognize that November 1 marks Native American Heritage and Awareness Month. Native American Heritage Month celebrates the rich and diverse cultures, traditions, and history that acknowledges the important contributions of American Indians and Alaska Natives in the United States. We also acknowledge the native people from the land in which Brookwood is situated - the Pennacook - a group of Algonquian-speaking people who lived in the Merrimack Valley and thrived in New England for hundreds of years, building a rich and thriving society with its own traditions, lifeways, and culture.
