Children in Grades 5 and 6 are increasingly exploring technology and the Internet more than ever, and without parents' knowledge or consent. In addition, there are many research studies that show increased health risks (e.g. addiction, depression, anxiety), and negative impacts on development and empathy as a result of too much technology use or age-inappropriate technology use. Doug Fodeman helps parents understand what are these risks and how to reduce them for their children. Attendees can expect to learn how to help their children use technology in developmentally healthy and age-appropriate ways, as well as gain a better understanding of the issues that deserve the most attention. These Zoom workshops are not appropriate for children to attend.
