I can’t believe our third Enrichment session is upon us! This year really has been flying by. Since joining the community last summer, I’ve had the opportunity to learn more about student interests, family needs, and which local and national partners best enrich students’ afternoons. This has created a collection of After School Enrichment opportunities that I am so excited about. Here are some highlights:
Game Time Training is bringing basketball to 2nd & 3rd graders (They’ll even be back in the summer for rising 6th - 9th graders!)
Multiple classes are being taught by our Brookwood faculty and staff.
2nd - 4th grade students can learn how to start a fire (!!)
Tiny Ballerinas (Is anything more precious than a tiny dancer?!)
Mr. Cardoza is teaching a music recording class for 3rd & 4th graders, plus still teaching his two Chess classes for 1st - 4th graders
… and so much more!
With the exception of 2 classes, our spring term will begin immediately after spring break. Registration is closing in just over 3 weeks from today (Sun. 3/19) so we can use the second week of March break to update our rosters, confirm each family’s enrollment, and let our partners know their final class size. After observing this process for two terms (and a summer registration,) I highly recommend families make their decisions quickly and register without delay to ensure the highest chance of securing your spot.
If you need to make a change to your child’s After School schedule (for an individual day or for the term), please email afterschool@brookwood.edu, to ensure that Sophie Rothman, our Assistant Director of Auxiliary Programs, and I are both notified. If you have any questions, please reach out to me, Kyla McMahon, Director of Auxiliary Programs.
Check out the catalog (flippable version here) and enroll using the links within its pages. Third term, let’s go!
Warmly,
