It’s time to get excited! Our first day of Day Camp is just over 3 months away!
This week at School Meeting, we shared more details about what Day Camp is going to look like. Students were thrilled to learn that there will be some familiar faces staffing the 9-day session.
On days 2 - 9, Brookwood science teacher Ms. Laura Lilley will be our STEM Specialist, and as such, will facilitate ooey, gooey, experimental fun. Ms. Monika Carbochova will resume delivering sports instruction to students, something she has done in many previous summers. Mr. Joe Cardoza and Ms. Alex Edwards will work in partnership to deepen students’ love of, and experience with, music and various aspects of performing arts. After School instructor and Brookwood substitute teacher, Ms. Leslie Meahl will also be joining us in the role of Visual Arts Specialist. Students will rotate through these activities, but will also have time to play on the turf, on the playground, and in sprinklers, while overseen by camp counselors.
On day 1, we’re kicking off the summer with a birthday party for our beloved heron mascot, Pip. Students voted for the birthday party theme at School Meeting, and though there were many cheers for both themes, a pirate party won out in the end!
Spots still remain in almost every age group, so sign up today! If you haven’t submitted a registration form, you can do so here. If you have submitted a registration form already, but you’d like to add on Day Camp (or any other Specialty Camp offerings), please reach out to Kyla McMahon.
Join us, and summer better @ Brookwood!
