*What: Brookwood Day of Service
When: June 3, 2023 from 9:00 - Noon
Where: Wellspring House | Directions | RSVP Brookwood’s Day of Service is a long-standing school tradition where school families can share their Brookwood Spirit and Heron Pride with the larger community that surrounds us. This year, our day of service partners with Wellspring House which has long and deep connections with our school, particularly through the efforts of our grade one faculty.Wellspring fights homelessness by providing emergency shelter for families and provides job training and adult education for those in need to get them on their feet and chart ways out of poverty. Our project this year will be a spring yard clean-up and other landscape/gardening projects on site. In addition to assisting Wellspring with much needed labor, this effort will help reinforce residents’ knowledge that they are truly valued by the community and brighter days lie ahead. The awesome Brookwood Book Fair is right around the corner, and Mrs. Geraty and her amazing library crew are once again sending out the call for volunteers to help our kiddos find books that will ignite and deepen their love of reading and then check them out on the point of sale system.
