Summer Math and Reading

Summer is here, and we hope you and your family enjoy the change of pace. We have found value over the years in asking children of all ages to engage in some kind of regular math and reading throughout the summer months. Doing so keeps core skills and fluency fresh and makes for a smoother entry to a new school year.

For our youngest learners, this may mean being read to on a daily basis and playing math games; for our older students, it includes specific assignments. You'll see here that our teachers offer a variety of engaging ways for students to continue learning over the summer.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to your child’s division head: Head of Lower School Gina Marcel, gmarcel@brookwood.edu; Head of Upper School Dave Samson, dsamson@brookwood.edu

As always, we appreciate your support, and we wish you a relaxing and enjoyable summer!
