Brookwood's Parents’ Association Education & Wellness Committee welcomed Dr. Kaitlyn Wilbur-Smith, a licensed clinical psychologist and the Director of Selective Mutism Services at the Boston Child Study Center on Thursday, February 2nd. During her presentation, "It's Time to Time In: Supporting Mental Health in Early and Middle Childhood," Dr. Wilbur-Smith shared research-based tools and helpful methods to promote effective parenting. Previous Post from January 2023: Clinical psychologist Dr. Kaitlin Wilbur-Smith will join us to lead a discussion entitled "It's Time to Time In: Supporting Mental Health in Early and Middle Childhood.” Dr. Wilbur-Smith will provide an overview of childhood mental health and discuss prevention and intervention strategies for early and middle childhood, with an emphasis on the role of parents and caregivers.
