Want to get more involved next school year? This is a great way to do so! The Brookwood Parents' Association is always looking for members of the Brookwood Parent Community to "get involved". Here are a few ways you could participate for the upcoming School Year 22/23.
Become a Class Connector!
Similar to a 'class parent', a Brookwood Class Connector's primary role is to build community within your student's grade!
Organize 1-2 social events (financially supported by the PA) a year.
Serve as the point person for class gifts, activities or other initiatives.
Share and promote updates with your grade when prompted by the PA or school administrators.
Join a Committee!
Chair or serve on one of the following committees:
Community Outreach: To facilitate and implement community service projects to strengthen our commitment to the greater North Shore community.
Community Events: To organize PA events! MovieFest, BBQ's, BBQ's, Brookwood on Ice, annual school auction, and more.
Cultural Enrichment: To work alongside the PA to identify and hire performers for 2 school meetings annually.
Art and Library: Help Brookwood's departments by hanging art, working book fairs, serve as an informational source for events, and more!
School Store: To work with the PA and the School Store coordinator to set up, break down and to serve as a salesclerk at special events.
Parent Education and Wellness: Help to identify and implement education and training to positively enhance the lives and learning for Brookwood families.
Faculty/Staff Appreciation: Help organize holiday gifts, Teacher Appreciation Week recognition, surprise acts of kindness for our faculty!
