Kindergartens worked with their 5th-grade buddies to film a PSA for School Meeting this week about our upcoming Heron Hunger Walk and Food Drive on June 2nd. We also created signs and decorated the bins to collect the food.
Heron Hunger Walk will take place on June 2nd. Kindergarteners walk off and on all day and invite the community to come out and cheer us on or walk a lap with us. Parents will join us at 2:00 to walk a lap and then have a popsicle celebration.
Accompanying Food Drive will benefit Open Door in Gloucester. Food donations will be accepted until the day of the walk on June 2
The walk and food drive are the culminating events of our unit on food insecurity.
