Over the summer, the following have joined the Brookwood community:

Director of Development: Nick Zaharias

Brookwood School welcomes Nick Zaharias of Derry, New Hampshire as our Director of Development. Nick has experienced an award-winning career in fundraising, tallying over $100M in gifts, planned gifts, grants, and special event revenue. Nick has served on the advancement teams at UConn, Choate Rosemary Hall, Cushing Academy, Tilton School, University of Hartford, Lawrence General Hospital, and Elliot Health System. Welcome Nick!

After School Coordinator: Khadijah Ali Campbell

Khadijah is an energetic, solution-oriented, educator with 8 years of independent school experience in residential life, coaching, and community programming, Khadijah has a proven record of collaboration, and flexibility used to provide consistent, ongoing support for students and faculty. She is skilled in innovation and project management. Khadijah comes from The Home for Little Wanderers where she served as the Education Coordinator.

Kindergarten Assistant Teacher: Matthew Geary

Matthew hails from The Family Cooperative in Watertown. Matthew studied theatre at Keene State and earned his master’s degree in history and archival studies.

Lower School Learning Specialist: Michelle Berg

Michelle has worked at Tower School in various roles since 2013. Most recently, she served as a reading tutor for students in kindergarten through fifth grade. Michelle attended Endicott College, where she earned her bachelor of science degree.

Upper School 6th grade Geography: Lisa Burns Lisa has been a member of the Brookwood community for the last 4 years in her role as an Upper School Learning Skills Specialist. Prior to her years at Brookwood, Lisa taught with the Toronto District School Board in Toronto, after completing her master’s degree in Child Study and Education at the University of Toronto and her bachelor’s from McGill University. Lisa also taught internationally, working as both an English and Social Studies teacher in South Korea. She is looking forward to expanding her role in the Upper School and is excited for the new challenge!
