We welcome you to enjoy our performance on May 17 from 5:30 - 6:00 p.m. in the School Meeting House. They’ll also perform for students and employees (and any parents who would like to join) the following day (Thursday, May 18) during School Meeting at 9:30 a.m.
After School Care for Play Day:
Performers are welcome to stay at school between 3:00 dismissal and the 5:30 p.m. performance. Supervision will be provided by the K/1 team. This offering will remain separate from the After School program, and children who usually stay for After School can join the K/1 festivities. If they have an enrichment activity, we’ll plan to gather them when it ends and envelop them into the K/1 group. Here’s what our time together will include:
3:00-3:15 p.m. - Snack in classrooms
3:15-4:00 p.m. - Read aloud or video
4:00-4:30 p.m. - Outdoor recess
4:30-5:10 p.m. - Pizza, veggies, and apple cider for dinner in Commons
5:10-5:30 p.m. - Get ready
5:30 p.m. - Showtime!
Please RSVP by Friday, May 12 for this fun after school experience so we have an idea of how many children to expect. Additionally, siblings are welcome to "drop in" to our After School program if Wednesdays aren't their normal days and the parent only wants to come to school once. While there is no charge for K/1 students staying between school and the play, if a sibling were to attend the After School program and aren’t usually enrolled on Wednesdays, the After School drop in rate of $25 per hour, per student would apply. Families should RSVP for K/1 students through the link above and, if needed, email afterschool@brookwood.edu to get siblings added to the After School list. If your child is not staying, please plan to have them back on campus at 5:00 so they have time to get ready for the show. They can be dropped off at the Lower School entrance.
