Jean Skaane, the School’s Wellness Coordinator, has been working with children across grade levels on mindfulness and movement. As a primer for the work she plans to do with students, she asked Upper Schoolers what wellness means to them. Students in fifth grade shared insightful and thought-provoking responses:
Taking care of myself
Being kind to myself
Being around people that are happy
Eating foods that will help me throughout the day
